Don't pack on the holiday pounds, check out these tips for staying healthy and fit during the holiday season!
)Get Moving: Avoid sitting for prolonged periods. Get up for 5 minutes every 30-60 minutes. This reduces the risk of diabetes and heart disease.
)Stay Hydrated: Your brain can confuse thirst with hunger.Drink the recommended 6-8 glasses of water a day.
)Indulge for a night, not a season: It's okay to indulge, but don't overdo it. Try to avoid allowing treats to linger after the party is over.
)Take Time: Take time for yourself! Stress increases during the holiday season, which often leads to consuming extra comfort foods. If you feel stressed, go for a walk or try some deep breathing.
)Exercise: If you can, exercise early in the day so you don't get distracted by the endless to-do list. Or incorporate exercise into your party by playing games with movement.
