Job Description As the Family and Consumer Sciences Agent in Perquimans County, I serve as a community educator focused on improving the health, well-being, and economic stability of individuals and families. I develop and deliver research-based programs in areas such as nutrition and wellness, chronic disease prevention, local food access, and financial literacy. My work includes building strong partnerships with schools, community organizations, and local leaders to address pressing needs like food insecurity, obesity, and limited health resources. I strive to make education accessible and culturally relevant through hands-on workshops, cooking classes, and outreach efforts that empower people to make informed decisions for healthier lives. By evaluating outcomes and sharing success stories, I ensure programs are impactful and continuously evolving to meet the needs of Perquimans County residents.
