2022 Northeast Ag Expo Small Grains Field Day

The 2022 Northeast Ag Expo Small Grains Field Day was held on Wednesday, February 16th, at White Hat Seed Farm in Perquimans County. The event consisted of a trade show with educational booths and vendors displaying their products followed by presentations from NC State University Extension Specialists focusing on wheat production in the areas of disease management, weed management, grain marketing, nitrogen fertilization, and mid-season fertility management decisions. There were a total of 116 participants. A special thank you to White Hat Seed Farm for hosting the event! The Northeast Ag Expo Team is a North Carolina Cooperative Extension group that serves Camden, Currituck, Chowan, Gates, Pasquotank, and Perquimans Counties. The Northeast Ag Expo Team holds two field days annually, which are collaborative efforts with agriculture producers, agribusinesses, North Carolina State University, and commodity groups.
